I graduated from Queen Margaret College, Edinburgh in 1983. Having spent a number of years at a senior level in the NHS treating musculoskeletal injuries, I specialised in 1988 in upper limb rehabilitation. Since qualifying I have worked for a number of private practices across the country, involving the treatment of top level athletes in a wide range of sports including premier league football. From 1999 until 2009 I was employed to manage the hand service in the Wessex Nuffield Hospital, Chandlers Ford before becoming a partner in Walnut Tree Physiotherapy in April 2004. I now run a specialised hand, wrist and elbow service which has included contracts with New Hall Hospital, Salisbury and the BMI Sarum Road Hospital, Winchester.
I now work closely with the Practice Plus Group, Royal South Hants Hospital to treat NHS postoperative hand patients. I have a special interest in work place injuries and holistic wellbeing. I am a member of the Chartered Society of Physiotherapy and registered with the Health & Care Professions Council. |
